Hair loss (alopecia)

Certified trichologist, Anna tells you more about alopecia.

Are you concerned?
Do you think you've tried everything, with no results?

Don't give up. Thanks to the Reset program and Anna's advice, you have a chance to put an end to this alopecia... that is, to stop the loss but also to gradually grow back your hair.

It is normal to lose between 50 and 100 hairs per day, especially during seasonal changes. These hairs grow back naturally. However, if the loss is excessive (you notice a decrease in hair density or even gaps in the hair), it is important to consult a trichologist.

As we age, we lose hair density. This is often linked to genetics and can be difficult to control. However, there are ways to take care of your scalp and slow down hair loss.

Anna can help you identify the cause of your hair loss and recommend appropriate treatment.

The frequency of washing your hair is a topic of much debate. Some believe that it is important to wash your hair every day, while others recommend washing it less often. In reality, the optimal frequency of washing your hair depends on several factors, such as hair type, sports practice, professional activity) and personal preferences.

However, it is important to note that washing your hair too often can have negative effects on the health of your scalp and hair. This is because shampooing can strip the scalp of its natural oils, which can make it dry and irritated. Additionally, washing your hair too often can weaken your hair and make it more brittle.

Conversely, not washing your hair enough can also lead to problems. The buildup of dirt, pollution, and oil on the scalp can clog hair follicles and prevent hair growth. Additionally, an oily scalp can promote the growth of bacteria and fungus, which can lead to dandruff and other scalp problems.

So, what is the ideal frequency to wash your hair? There is no universal answer to this question but Anna will advise you on the shampoos (and conditioners / masks) best suited to your hair. She will also find with you the ideal washing frequency.

Hair loss is a common problem that can affect anyone, at any time in life. Among the various possible causes, emotional stress is one of the most difficult to correct.

In fact, stress can have a profound impact on the entire body, including the hormonal system. Hormonal imbalance can disrupt the hair growth cycle, causing excessive hair loss.

Additionally, stress can also affect sleep and diet, two important factors for hair health. Lack of sleep and an unbalanced diet can weaken hair and make it more susceptible to hair loss.

Correcting hair loss caused by emotional stress therefore requires a multidimensional approach. The first step will be to identify the cause of this stress (if it is not already known) to find solutions.

HAVE A GOOD HYGIENE LIFESTYLE
(your hair being a reflection of your “inner self”):

  • Eat a healthy, balanced diet , rich in vitamins and minerals, including iron, zinc, magnesium and B vitamins.
  • Drink enough water (about 1.5 liters per day) to hydrate the body and hair.
  • Manage stress , as it can be a major factor in hair loss.
  • Get enough sleep (about 7-8 hours per night) so that the body can rest and regenerate.
  • Avoid tobacco which can weaken hair and hinder its growth.

TAKING CARE OF YOUR HAIR

  • Use gentle shampoos and conditioners suited to your hair type (be careful with supermarket cosmetics with an alkaline pH)
  • Avoid tight hairstyles that can pull on the hair and make it fragile.
  • Limit the use of heat tools like hair dryers, straighteners and curling irons (and always use a heat protectant...)
  • Perform scalp massages to stimulate blood circulation and promote hair growth.
