Masks for curly to frizzy hair
The mask for curly and frizzy hair is a concentrate of active ingredients to nourish in depth. It is a step to absolutely incorporate into your hair routine to maintain or treat your textured hair.Kalia Nature,As I Am,LoopOrCamille Rose, these brands offer creamy masks that melt into your curls to reveal them in their best light! Our diverse offer of masks for curly hair will meet the specific needs of your hair whatever its type and texture.
Why add a mask to your hair routine?
A hair mask is more concentrated in moisturizing, nourishing and repairing active ingredients than a classic conditioner. It is made to meet a specific temporary need or to maintain your hair. It is recommended to use a hair mask two to four times a month depending on your needs. The mask is important because it will restore certain nutrients and minerals that the hair desperately needs. A conditioner is used more regularly but will act more superficially. The number one rule for using a mask is regularity! If you find that applying a mask four times a month allows you to have beautiful curls, keep up the pace and continue conscientiously.
Which mask to choose for curly hair? Frizzy? Kinky?
When it comes to hair masks, hair type trumps texture. Take the time to examine your hair to treat it better. Lack of shine, rough feel, frizz: moisturizing mask. Loss of elasticity, definition, breakage: protein mask. Note that a moisturizing mask is used once a week, while the protein mask is used once or twice a month, always followed by a moisturizing mask. Other masks focus on dandruff, such asDandruff Control Hair Masque by Shea Moisture.
How to apply a mask to curly to frizzy hair?
Apply your mask after shampooing, on wet or damp hair. For a successful application, focus on the ends. Most brands recommend doing this to protect the lengths from breakage. The oldest part of the hair, the ends are also the most fragile. So start applying the mask at the ends before moving towards the roots. The most important thing when applying a hair mask is to follow the instructions given by the brand! This may seem obvious, but here is the information to take into account for a successful mask: • Follow the application instructions: "on damp or wet hair" is a concept to follow! Water helps the ingredients penetrate the hair fiber and its presence on your hair is essential when applying the mask. • Do not exceed the application time: the phenomenon of "over-hydration" is very real! It manifests itself by limp, greasy hair, without volume or definition. Most masks have an application time of around ten minutes. Avoid keeping your mask on all night unless it is clearly specified in the product instructions. • Use your mask…as a mask!: if the brand indicates a multi-use product, then you can keep the same product and use it as a leave-in or co-wash. Without this specific mention, do not use your mask other than as a deep treatment. This can weigh down your hair and be damaging in the long term. In terms of actions to adopt, we will note the addition of heat by means of a steam helmet or a heating cap. The heat opens the scales of the hair fiber and allows the mask to better penetrate the hair. A heating cap such as theEfalockis ideal for your deep care. But if you want an express deep care, we recommend using aself-heating cap, operating with your body heat only.
The most hydrating masks for curly to frizzy hair
Masks all have more or less the same basic formula: water, fatty alcohol, humectant, emollient. These ingredients are made to attract moisture to the heart of the hair. They are often found at the top of the composition of a mask. Some brands relying solely on natural ingredients will replace these components with ingredients of plant origin. This is how aloe vera, honey or coconut oil are often present in the composition of "natural" masks. "Natural" does not necessarily mean "homemade"! The masks we offer all come from professional laboratories, prepared and controlled by qualified chemists. The formulas of our masks are therefore respectful of your hair and your health. For theDIY, we offer ready-to-use boxes. The products we offer have formulas boosted by ingredients with strong moisturizing, detangling and nourishing powers. For maximum hydration, we recommend the following references: • IShea Moisture Intensive Hydration Hair Masque•Deep Conditioning Treatment by Jessicurl. These two masks are focused on hydration to deeply treat dry hair. Colored hair also needs hydration but also proteins. So, as advised above, remember to alternate between hydrating masks and protein masks with masks likeRepair Time by Les Secrets de Loly (2 in 1),Kalia Nature Protect My Hair Mask(protein). For us, the mask is a treatment that must have its place in any self-respecting hair routine! It's an opportunity to show your hair a little more love than usual by giving it an extra dose of care. If your goal is length, don't miss this step! Find all our masks for curly and frizzy hair now in our departments!
