Brown Butter Beauty


Brown Butter Beauty was born in 2000 from the frustration of Christine Gant, a young New Yorker frustrated by the lack of choice in natural cosmetics and the abuse of big brands claiming to be natural.

For our greatest pleasure, she has concocted her own mixtures, rich in plant extracts and vegetable oils.

Exceptional quality “made in Brooklyn”, with fresh ingredients and real know-how.

Thoroughly cleanse your scalp and hair

Brown Butter Beauty offers 2 shampoos:

Strengthen and nourish your hair deeply


Essential after a good hair cleansing. Apply the Babassu Deep Treatment hair mask.

It is moisturizing, fortifying (especially thanks to Brazilian babassu oil) and also offers good detangling power.

Moisturize your hair


After the washing routine, soak your hair using a microfiber towel .

Then apply the leave-in and/or hair milk

  • Sweet Milk is the leave-in from the Brown Butter Beauty brand. It is both an outstanding detangler and an incredible moisturizing base (to be followed by a sealant).
  • Moisture Rich Hair Milk is richer, it is a hair milk. You can use it after the leave-in or alone (its composition allows both to moisturize and seal the moisture).

Style and seal in moisture


Important to preserve hydration over several days.

  • Moisture Rich Hair Butter Cream is the thick cream from Brown Butter Beauty. It is excellent for maintaining the moisture of the leave-in as well as for creating your hairstyles (twists and afros in particular).

Need extra sealant or more shine?


Brown Butter Beauty oils and balms are excellent for sealing in moisture and also make pre-poos/oil baths.

Application to the scalp is possible but, in this case, we recommend leaving them on for just a few minutes, massaging and then washing the hair and scalp thoroughly.
